Mike's Work Skills blog fantasic year 2015

My name is Mike & I am a member of the OpenStorytellers group on a Wednesday. 

I  have really enjoyed doing the art work and the word searches on the computer. The word searches were a big massive challenge and I am thinking of making a new word search, it will be the hardest most difficult word search ever. I also like making new friends and I like helping other people out with their work if they are stuck.

My Work Experience At Wells Townhall Reception.

Yesterday was my 3rd week at my work experience, at Wells town hall it went really well. I go there every other week, on a Wednesday and I write emails, filing, answering the works phone sometimes. Also I make me and the staff a nice cup of tea as well yesterday I got me and sue lady I work with a nice hot chocolate it made a nice change. I really enjoy my work experience at the wells town hall.

Downstairs at The Black Swan Art Centre there is an art gallery. A whole group of us used tracing paper and pencils to do a drawing of Princess Diana.
We cut a photograph of Princess Diana into squares and then we each copied a square. Then we put all the squares together and this is what it looks like:

It was fun trying to figure out what to do. I struggled a bit but we managed to do it!!

It was an interesting conference
It was fun meeting new people 
There were plenty of different workshops 
We had to bring an object that an describes yourself and write about it. 

Event For Service Users And Families And Carers.

We attended a MIDS event and our role was to make sure people 
signed in the forms and also there were 7 stalls and they also provided tea and coffee and cakes. Katie and I helped Cindy and Emma at this event and we had an enjoyable afternoon, and we all looked on each of the stalls they were very interesting as well. And there was lots of different information on each of the stalls about each day service. For example we both liked the Bradbury House Display and photo's of the Activities you can do. On the 'sticks to you' stall they had a film playing of people working cutting up wood and working safely. 


MIDS means Mendip Independent Day Services.

Creative Minds Meeting By Clemma Fleat

Recently me and Robin went to Bristol for a meeting for the Creative minds Conference.

We talked about who we would like to invite and who would help out on the day.

My feelings on the meeting: I thought it went very well and I am looking forward to the Conference.
