Thursday music workshop Susan heather Ellen dayman-johns

I like to listen to music and play with instruments

I think the instruments were therapeuhic because they matched sounds to feelings.

i went to wells and did  a music session with jane and i enjoyed it. Tim, Robin, Katie, Clemma, Brain, Vicky and Lucy were there . They are my friends ,i enjoyed their company. The music was sending me to sleep because it was relaxing and i would love to go again.
The story i'm working on is gareth off orkney. He left home because he's really keen to become a knight. He folowed his brothers and worked in the kitchen as a boy and got bullied. He  faced his fears and went through to the dark forest to face the kinghts who kidnapped leonora.
She is beutiful lady and falls in love with Gareth.
Gareth spares the red  knight and gets married to Leonora and  this is how he becomes kinght.

Gareth of Orkney Robin Meader

Gareth wants to be like his brothers as all of his brothers are Knights of the Round table. He travels from Scotland to England. Its a long way to  travel to Camelot where he wants to be knighted. We  don't know where abouts in England  Camelot existed but we  do know that the Sword   in the Stone was found at  different sites  in England. One version of the story is that a maiden  threw  the sword to where King Arthur was, over a lake. This leads  us to think that Camelot was by a lake. We think that this lake could have been Chew valley or Wetlands in Taunton so Camelot may have been Cadbury Castle in Glastonbury.

This proves that  Gareth has independence in moving from Scotland to England.  People can travel now  on a  public bus anywhere in the Uk with their bus  pass but in Gareth's time Gareth had a     brave heartt because he travelled on horse back from Orkney Castle to Camelot.

I remember a film called brave heart with Mel Gibson which show the strength of the celtic people.

Brians blog. Brian Marshall

I went to the carnival on Saturday. I saw lots of floats and I thought they were lovely. They were lots of different colours. I stood by the cornerhouse and I had a drink in the pub afterwards. I enjoyed the carnival because I was with friends and it was a lovely evening and it didn't rain atall!

I talked to my friends about days and Knights of the Round table. I told them that it was cold and horrible in the kitchen in the story and I said that the boy was stinky. They said he would never be a Knight!.

The boy believed that one day he would be a Knight. When I told my friends about the story, they clapped at me. I said to my friends 'Have you got any thoughts about how I can be the King?'. Some of my friends had some good ideas.

Guest speaker for the day Suzie Daymon- Johns

Today we had a guest speaker. My favourite part of the day was hearing the spider story. I thought that Gem, our story teller  was really good. Gem was a really expressive story teller. He made it fun!.

starting a new term Tim Lumley- Smith

Last  monday we started back at open story tellers after the summer .
I was very excited at seeing every one and we talked about our summer.
We started looking  at a new story called days and knights of the kitchen and we talked about what the kitchen was like. We said it was noisy, smelly, filthy, and many other things.  We are looking forward to this story.
